Learn about the planning and preparation for your AGM, hear some disaster stories and discover how best to avoid them happening to you.
Annual General Meetings mostly pass without incident, but what if you get a disgruntled shareholder, an unexpected proposal or a surprise result on a vote?
Together with Charles Russell Speechlys and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), we are holding an evening of essential tips to help avoid those difficult AGMs that no one wants to experience. The event will be based around a mock AGM role play, and will help you to know what to do if issues do still arise and to prepare you for the 2018 ‘AGM Season’.
You will be able to learn about the planning and preparation for your AGM, hear some disaster stories and discover how best to avoid them happening to you. From the responsibilities of the Chairman, attempts to replace the Chair and amend resolutions, to handling the press; all these and more will be covered in an informative yet entertaining way. Our expert panel will endeavour to prepare you for (almost) every eventuality.
The speakers at the event will be:
- George Dallas, Policy Director, ICGN
- Michael Higgins, Chairman, Ebiquity PLC
- Harry Chathli, Director, Luther Pendragon
