Share Schemes

Our Share Schemes Expert Group examines all aspects of share scheme regulation to ensure that they remain cost effective and easy to implement for small and mid-size quoted companies.

Employee share schemes are a particularly important tool for small and mid-size quoted companies to motivate and retain key staff. The group has recently held meetings with representatives from HMRC and the Investment Association, so that members could directly raise issues which concerned them.

The group is currently working on:

  • Working with HMRC on the practical implementation of online registration and annual reporting for share schemes
  • Updating the QCA Share Schemes Guide
  • Together with other groups, updating the QCA Remuneration Committee Guide
  • Together with other groups, making representations on improving the AIM Rules
