Our Primary Markets Expert Group acts as a dynamic forum composed solely of nominated advisers and brokers to discuss primary market issues with a view of influencing market practice, market structures and the regulatory framework to support firms advising small and mid-sized quoted companies.
The group is currently working on/responsible for:
- Monitoring and influencing developments regarding primary activity on the markets – the issuance of new shares by quoted companies enabling them to raise new equity capital – including research (UK MiFID), UK Market Abuse Regulation, Listing Rules, AIM Regulation, Prospectus Regulation, capital raising and the Sponsor, Nomad and Corporate Adviser regimes
- Engaging regularly with key Government departments, regulators and other industry bodies, including HM Treasury, FCA, LSE, AIM Regulation, FRC, FRC Lab, AQSE, ShareSoc Business Growth Fund
