The Quoted Companies Alliance Legal Committee examined this consultation from HM Treasury that outlines the proposals for the restructuring of the Financial Services Authority. We expressed concern with some of the new proposed powers of the UK Listing Authority (UKLA), mainly the ability of the UKLA to require an issuer to appoint a skilled personn to report on an issue in the company and the cost impact that this may have on smaller issuers.
