The evening begins at 6:00pm with a welcome drink. During dinner, Sarah will lead the discussion on corporate reporting in the UK and the way the FRC go about corporate reporting reviews. There will be the opportunity to join in the discussion with other Directors from across the QCA membership.

Sarah Rapson, FRC

Sarah Rapson joined the Financial Reporting Council as Executive Director Supervision in September 2021. Between February and September 2023, Sarah was acting deputy CEO and acting CEO. She is responsible for leading the Supervision Division and its work to enhance audit quality and to promote improvement in corporate reporting. From 2010 – 2021 Sarah was Director of Authorisations at the Financial Conduct Authority; Director General, UK Visas and Immigration at the UK Home Office; CEO Identity and Passport Service; and the 20th Registrar General for England and Wales, appointed by HM The Queen. Her previous career was in financial services. Sarah graduated in Mathematics and holds a London Business School MBA. She is Non-Executive Director of two NHS Trusts (Senior Independent Director, North Middlesex and Royal Free London). In 2016, Sarah was named as one of Cranfield University’s 100 Women to Watch.

Joyce Grant, FRC

Joyce is the Technical Accounting Director for the Corporate Reporting Review team at the UK’s Financial Reporting Council where she is responsible for the technical aspects of the team’s work. Before joining the FRC, Joyce was the Technical Partner at Grant Thornton for many years. Joyce also worked at EY, training in the Nottingham Office before moving to London to take up an opportunity in the audit methodology and training team.
