Freda Isingoma, Fund Manager, Octopus Investments Limited

 

Gervais Williams

Gervais Williams was a previous Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance and took on the honorary, non-board position of QCA President in October 2023. Gervais manages a number of funds that aggregate to between ยฃ0.5 โ€“ 1bn.

Gervaisโ€™s fund management career extends over 30 years including 17 years at Gartmore. In 2011, he joined Premier Miton where he has set up a number of new funds with Martin Turner. He was a former board member of The Investment Association, the governmentโ€™s Patient Capital Review and is an advisor the AIM Advisory Council.

Gervais is a regular industry commentator at conferences and in the media, including on the Radio 4 Today program. He is also the author of a number of books on the changing economic outlook. His first book ‘Slow Finance’ was published in the autumn of 2011, with his second book ‘The Future is Small’ in November 2014, and his third book โ€˜The Retreat of Globalisationโ€™ in December 2016.
