Markets Expert Group
Our Markets Expert Group provides a platform to discuss both primary and secondary market issues, with the aim of influencing market practice, market structures and the regulatory framework to support advisers to small and mid-sized quoted companies.
The group is currently working on/responsible for:
- Monitoring and influencing developments regarding primary market activity and secondary market activity – including the issuance of new shares by quoted companies; UK MiFID research rules; UK Market Abuse Regulation; Listing Rules; AIM Regulation; Prospectus Regulation; capital raising; the Sponsor, Nomad and Corporate Adviser regimes; liquidity; trading and settlement.
- Engaging regularly with key Government departments, regulators and other industry bodies, including HM Treasury, FCA, LSE, AIM Regulation, FRC, FRC Lab, Aquis, Bank of England, ShareSoc, Business Growth Fund and others
The group plays an important role in shaping the environment for public equity markets, ensuring they remain effective and accessible for growth companies and their advisers.
