The Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA), the representative body for the UK’s small and mid-cap quoted company sector, announces the small and mid-cap fund managers speaking at its Fund Manager Lunch Programme for this year.

The QCA’s longest running programme of events, the fund manager lunches put quoted company directors in front of leading small and mid-cap investors so that they can hear directly how fund managers make investment decisions in an informal environment. Topics generally discussed include the frequency and subjects covered in company meetings, the relationship between the fund management and corporate governance teams within a firm and important figures in the report and accounts.

The 2011 lunches include:

  • Wednesday 9 March 2011 – James Thorne, Threadneedle Asset Management Ltd
  • Wednesday 13 April 2011 – Judith Mackenzie, Downing Corporate Finance Ltd
  • Tuesday 17 May 2011 – Henrietta Marsh, ISIS Equity Partners
  • Wednesday 15 June 2011 – Andy Crossley, Peel Hunt
  • Thursday 8 September 2011 – Andrew Buchanan, Octopus Investments
  • Tuesday 11 October 2011 – Richard Plackett, Blackrock Investment Management
  • Thursday 10 November 2011 – Adam McConkey, Gartmore Investment Management plc

Tim Ward, Chief Executive of the Quoted Companies Alliance, commented on the programme: “Quoted company directors do not often get a chance to meet fund managers outside of formal investor presentations or road shows. Our Fund Manager Lunch Programme provides them with a unique opportunity to discuss questions they have always wanted to know the answer to, with both leading small and mid-cap fund managers and their peers.”
