Robert Tripp
Managing Director & Owner, Tripple Consulting

Robert has over 45 years working with change in Banks;ย  initially with IBM selling technology and services to banks in London.ย  After an MBA and two years benchmarking banks in the Iberian peninsula, Robert returned to the UK, where after a few years working for NatWest, Robert left to setup and run a small firm of management consultants which is coming up to its 25th birthday.

Robert and the firm specialised in change in retail and commercial banks, mostly of a regulatory nature.ย  In the last few years his focus has shifted to AI and ethics, principallyย  in banking, which included a return to university and a Masters in Applied and Professional Ethics.ย  His dissertation was on vulnerable customers in Financial Services which won him a distinction.

He is vice chair of a Medical Research Ethics committee and is one of the contributing authors to the recently published textbook, IT Ethics, from the Chartered Institute of IT.

Laura Houston

Partner – Technology, Digital, Data and IP group, Slaughter and May

Laura is a partner in Slaughter and Mayโ€™s Technology, Digital, Data and IP group and co-head of the Digital Regulation team. She advises a range of clients on the impact of the thicket of legislation (across the UK and EU) that pertains to the development and deployment of technology, with a particular focus on AI. Additionally, Laura advises clients on the full spectrum of IP, tech and commercial contracts matters and frequently acts on IP licensing arrangements, as well as the IP and technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, investments and joint ventures and standalone IT arrangements, including development agreements, SaaS agreements and outsourcing agreements.
