QCA responds to the final Combined Code consultation

The QCA Corporate Governance Committee submitted its response to the FRC’s final consultation on the revised UK Corporate Governance Code on 5 March. The QCA pointed out the Code would benefit from being re-structured to be more outcome-orientated. In terms of specifics, we noted that the Chairman should not have to stand for annual re-election and that, out of the two proposals, our preference would be for the annual re-election of all directors.
