Following the AGM, QCA members approved the appointment of the following directors:

  • Sangita Shah, Bilby plc
  • Mark Taylor, Dorsey & Whitney LLP

The directors of the board re-elected are:

  • James Brotherton, Safe Harbour Holdings plc
  • Gervais Williams, Premier Miton Investors

Alan Newman, Equity plc, Sam Smith, finnCap and Dick Steele, Portmeirion Group plc have stepped down from the board.

Adam McConkey, Chair of the Quoted Companies Alliance, said:
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Alan Newman, Sam Smith and Dick Steele for their dedication to the QCA and their excellent work on our board. They have represented us in many different ways and they have expressed an interest to continue to do so, which we really appreciate. I should also like to welcome Steven Fine who joined the board during the year.”

Tim Ward, Chief Executive of the Quoted Companies Alliance, said:
“The last few months have been testing times for all of us. The QCA has had to adapt to the new environment, like everyone else, and I think has managed to do so effectively. This is down to the resilience of the team, the active support of our Chair and the board as well as the work of our Expert Groups, so ably led by the Expert Group chairs. This could not have been accomplished without the encouragement of our membership.

“During the year Sam Smith stepped down from the board. I would like to thank her for her dedication and the continuing support of finnCap. Alan Newman and Dick Steele are also stepping down from our board this year. I have valued their presence and input hugely and echo Adam’s vote of thanks. I look forward to working with them over the coming years. They exemplify the active support we receive from so many of our members.”
