The Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA), the representative body for the UK’s small and mid-cap quoted company sector, is pleased to announce the publication of its latest guide in its highly regarded series, Are You Ready? A Brief Guide for a Company Aspiring to Go Public. This guide has been written for companies, who are considering admission to a London-based exchange. It will help them identify what characteristics they need for their advisors to deem appropriate for admission and that investors look for when investing.
The guidance booklet has been compiled by members of the QCA Corporate Finance Advisors Committee. Leading small and mid-cap investors have also contributed their comments on what they consider to be the ‘ideal’ attributes for smaller public companies.
Tom Price, Chairman of the QCA Corporate Finance Advisors Committee and a Corporate Finance Director at Westhouse Securities, states: “This guide is essential reading for any smaller company looking to come to market in the UK. It clearly outlines those attributes that a company should strive to have in order to make the most of their listing and to be attractive to investors.”
Stuart Sharp, Rensburg Fund Management Ltd, comments in the guide: “Given the significant costs, both financial and personal, of being a quoted entity, any key guidance on approaching the listing process as effectively as possible should be valued. This booklet contains a lot of practical wisdom and it should be read and digested.”
