The QCA Legal Committee prepared this letter to the Treasury Committee to highlight important areas for consideration in relation the European Commission's proposals for financial regulation. The QCA noted that there is a need to remain careful to ensure that the needs of small and medium-sized businesses are not simply submerged in the need to regulate large and complex multi-national financial services businesses.
